COVID-19 Testing – WE DO NOT TEST FOR THE COVID-19 VIRUS IN OUR OFFICE.
Go to www.coronavirus.maryland.gov to search for a testing site near you. You no longer need an order from your doctor to obtain a test.
Telemedicine – Many appointments (prescription refills, lab result follow-ups) can easily be conducted from the comfort of your own home using a smart phone, tablet or a computer with a camera. Our staff can provide simple, detailed instructions when you schedule your appointment.
Annual Physicals/Wellness Visits/Chronic Condition Follow-ups – Depending on your personal health and guidance from your provider, you can have your appointment in our office or via telemedicine. In either case, you will need an in-office appointment to have your labs drawn.
For telemedicine, when you come to our office for your lab work, a medical assistant will take your vital signs, administer any necessary vaccines and perform an EKG, if needed. At the time of your telemedicine appointment, your provider reviews your lab results, conducts annual health screenings, and reviews your medications.
For in-person visits, you would have your labs done and then return for your appointment with your provider.
If you’re unable to use our lab for your bloodwork, our office can mail you an order for the lab of your choice. Call or contact us through your patient portal, and we’ll send you an order.
Sick Visits – For non-contagious conditions such as suture removal or ER/hospital follow ups, you can be seen in the office. Patients with contagious conditions like fever, cough or sore throat, you would begin with a telemedicine appointment. If in-person testing is deemed necessary, we will refer you to urgent care.
COVID-19 ANTIBODY Testing – Our in-house lab does offer the COVID-19 antibody test, but you should schedule a telemedicine appointment with one of our providers to discuss the reliability of the test and how a positive result should influence your behavior during the pandemic given the latest scientific data.
COVID-19 Safety Procedures – Our office is adhering to strict guidelines to keep our patients and our staff safe. Anyone entering our office, including our staff, has a temperature check and completes a questionnaire regarding COVID-19 symptoms, recent gatherings and recent travel. Surfaces in the waiting room, exam rooms and throughout the office are continually disinfected. Patients are brought from the atrium outside our office directly to an exam room or the lab. The waiting room is reserved for those patients who might be too frail to wait outside of the office.
